Definitions:
Investment Scam: The person promoting it is lying to get you to give them money that they intend to steal from you. These people should be just gotten rid of as they are of no use to anyone.
Bad Investments: These are ideas that someone has that just are not well thought out or are not well executed and therefor do not serve the investor well.
High Risk Investments: Which are covered on the Investments page, are high risk which means you have a better than 50% chance of losing your money sometimes better than 90% chance of losing your money. But if the payoff is great enough they are worth doing for more on this go to the Investments page for information of accessing investment risk/reward value.

The Scams
Pay Check Cashing investment scam out of Florida has been busted. If your got scammed by these guys report it now using the links below. You may get some of your money back as $800,000 in assets was frozen.

Some guy in Nigeria has oil money or some kind of money that he can't get because the government needs a fee to release it and if you would send him $20,000 or whatever, he will send back twice that as soon as his money is released. Another coommon one now is a person buys something or a service you provide and sends a check for more then the price of the thing or service, you cash the check and it shows as good after 3 days in your acct then you send the extra money back to the person They love western union because anyone can pick-up money from wester union no ID required, then 2 - 4 weeks later the check bounces back for some reason and you lose. Company called Qchex at Qchex.com is used alot by these people, over 90% of Qchex are fraud. Western Union is also a haven for scamsters and fraud becuse they offer on protection to the sender. As no ID is required to pick up the money, they can have you send the money to Jhon Doe and Joe Smith can come pick-up the money and you do not know who got the money. One of the worst things that can happen to you is a Compaq Computer.
Hard to upgrade the hardware, figure on throwing it away and buying a new one every year
BAD software and you almost have to use the software that came with it.
A computer is made up of software and hardware, that is it, Compaq has done poorly with both.

You hear lots of bad stuff about old Bill Gates but his STUFF is OK. What Compaq does to windows is truly bad. If you have windows from Bill and your computer crashes you can put your windows disk in and it will fix the windows part of it WITHOUT erasing everything on your hard drive so you are just back to reinstalling what ever program messed up your computer to start with. I have run windows setup a number of times before I'm done loading all my computer software. With Compaq you do not get a windows disc you get a Compaq disc with all the crap they put into it. A couple of your DLL files get messed up you cannot just reload them. With the lovely Compaq disk you have to do their recovery thing which destroys everything on your computer it is like using a computer virus to fix your computer. After running their disc you have to start reloading all your programs again. Which by and by cause the computer to crash again causing an endless cycle of starting at the beginning over and over. In the end you can load very little on a Compaq computer. They are generally just e-mail retrievers and can do a few basic computer functions beyond that they are useless and a source of endless frustration for most that have them. I help people fix their messed up computers but at this point when I hear that some one is having a problem with a Compaq Computer I just tell them to buy a real computer before going any further.
